  • 16 large white or cremini mushrooms
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup cooked turkey sausage
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 16 small olives (pitted, for decoration)
  • Cooking spray or olive oil (for greasing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Clean mushrooms with a damp cloth, remove stems, and chop finely.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine chopped stems, cream cheese, turkey sausage, Parmesan, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  4. Stuff each mushroom cap with the filling using a spoon.
  5. Place stuffed mushrooms on a greased baking sheet and press an olive into each one for decoration.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until mushrooms are tender and filling is golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
