  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter (not natural)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 44 Whoppers for decoration
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • White cake decorating gel

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Gradually incorporate this into the wet mixture until well combined.
  4. Using a cookie scoop, form dough balls and roll each in granulated sugar before placing on prepared baking sheets.
  5. Bake for about 8 minutes or until lightly golden around the edges. Press a Whopper into each warm cookie center.
  6. Melt chocolate chips and drizzle over each Whopper to create spider legs; use decorating gel for eyes.
  7. Allow to cool completely on wire racks before serving.
