  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 (14 oz) can full-fat coconut milk
  • 1 (15 oz) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Brown the cubed beef on all sides.
  2. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger; sauté until onions are translucent.
  3. Stir in spices and cook for about 2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Pour in coconut milk, broth, chickpeas, and tomato paste; season with salt and pepper.
  5. Simmer for 30-40 minutes until the beef is tender.
  6. For the naan, mix flour, yogurt, warm water, sugar, and baking powder; knead until smooth.
  7. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C), roll out dough pieces into rounds, and bake for 5-7 minutes until golden.
