  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 cup beef stock or water
  • 250g egg noodles
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef: Combine sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
  2. Cook the noodles: Boil the egg noodles in salted water until tender; drain and set aside.
  3. Prepare the sauce: Mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, light brown sugar, rice vinegar, chili flakes (if using), and beef stock in a bowl.
  4. Sear the beef: Heat vegetable oil in a wok over high heat. Add marinated beef and sear until browned; remove from wok.
  5. Stir-fry vegetables: In the same wok, add minced garlic, grated ginger, and broccoli. Stir-fry until bright green but crisp.
  6. Combine: Add beef back into the wok along with cooked noodles and prepared sauce. Toss until well coated and heated through.
  7. Serve hot.
